Bullies - Script Detective H2

In drama we have been working on a bullie script such as script detective then our drama teacher read us a story and we had to draw something from each scene. The week before we had been playing some games such as 123 freeze and frozen statues to work on our drama/listening skills.

The Gingerbread man

  • Who is the protagonist? - the protagonist is the gingerbread man

  • Who is the antagonist? - the antagonist is the lazy fox

  • What type of character do you think the Gingerbread Man is (dynamic, static, round) and why do you think that? - I think the gingerbread man is a dynamic because its a character of lots of energy.

  • Give an example of :

    • Direct characterization about the old lady and old man

      • Hint: what do we find out about them at the beginning? the old man was a gardener at the beginning of the story and had a very grumpy voice. The old lady was surprised.

    • Indirect characterization about the Gingerbread Man

      • Hint: what do his actions show us?  cheeky, silly, over confident.

      • Come up with three ways you could describe him based on indirect characterization . When he was taken out of the oven he was ready to take off on an adventure. He trusted the fox. He was not nice to the other animals.

What is your evidence? What did we see or hear that we know it is direct/indirect - be specific!

He called the cow ''you fat thing''

He thought the fox would not him.

The old lady thought she would be eating him.

100 word challenge

The sound as if the aliens were about to abduct you.
But it gets louder every time you move closer to it like if it was
saying something
in alien words that you don't understand,
like if it was singing to you.
To fall into a deep sleep that you didn’t understand
why it was making you sleepy as
you walked towards it.
It's like you're lost somewhere but you don't know where.
It's like you can’t move anymore like it's  forcing you to stay with it
till you drifted off to sleep
with the song stuck in your head.

After we had made are things in are pictures we glued them on a piece of paper and named them. Today we are making a story based on are picture that we made so here goes my story based on my art picture.

One dark day in the open blue there was a girl that come out of white smoke/the fog. She was driving her gray car on a big brown bridge but she saw the pink blossom trees in the night stars she wanted to take a picture under it as soon as she was going to stop her car on the green grass she was all out of fuel so she stopped at the middle of the bridge were there were cars coming. She didn't know what to do she thought of a idea but she thought it was weird but she did it anyway she got out of her car and pushed it on top of the grass were the bushes were pushing it back so she had to do the side of the bridge the people stopped and saw she was out of fuel so they desired to help her. After that someone handed her a ride and bloped the Chain onto her car. she even gotten to take a picture under the tree. :D

solar oven

Kia Ora! Last week we made a science task known as solar ovens. We worked in groups and the purpose was to learn about using solar energy in different ways.

Firstly we got pieces of cardboards, we put foil inside, then we put sticks through the box. Next we went outside and get chocolate cookies and marshmallows from the teachers, then we put them under the sun to melt into a smore with a magnifying glass to get the sun's heat. But my one didn't turn out as I thought it would, because there was too much wind coming from out of nowhere.
